Key responsibility of this role is Accounts Receivable management of Sports & Life style brands of Al Futtaim Group.




Responsibility includes compliance with company policies and procedures with major emphasis on Credit control, Credit insurance management, Credit risk assessment, Receipting, Allocation of customer payment and PDC management.

This role will report to the Finance Manager and will be based out of Al Futtaim offices at Al Rigga, Dubai.

The specific duties are listed below:

Sales order releases
Person will be responsible to release sales orders after checking the credit worthiness of customers and as per credit policies and DOA of the company.

Credit insurance management
The role requires undertaking overall responsibility of credit insurance administration towards all the insured customers in assigned companies.

Submission of AR MIS reports
Ensure consistency in presentation of AR MIS reports and submission of reports as per SLA time lines.

Creation and maintenance of customer master
Person should be capable for analysing the credit risk assessment before granting credit facility.

Managing customer documentation
Ensuring the valid documentation towards all existing customers

Routine Balance confirmation and reconciliation of customer accounts.
Person will be responsible for circulating statement of accounts to customers & preparing reconciliations.

Periodic Credit review and Appraisal of customer accounts
The role require to analyse the credit worthiness of customers based on trading history and market information, on a regular basis.

Handling police/legal cases
Document submission and coordinating with group legal, against debtors related legal cases/dishonoured cheques.

Provision for doubtful debtors
Preparation of AR provision report on monthly basis as per Group policies and posting the entry before closing the books.

Receipting of customer payments.

Posting of all customer payments and allocation as per the advice from customers.

Customer security cheques administration.
Keeping the details of security cheques issued by customers and managing safe custody of cheques.

Accounting of Tax credit notes
Posting of tax credit notes towards rebates, promo support and trade discounts.

AR review meeting with business
Person will be responsible to conduct regular AR review meetings with business to address AR related matters/queries from business.

Monitoring VAT compliances on tax invoicing.
Person will be responsible for monitoring tax invoicing, especially with regard to exempted and zero-rated billing.

Coordination of internal and external audit.
This role requires fully corporation with internal and external auditors with regard to queries during annual , interim, and special audits

Inter company billings and receivables management
Prepare customer statements, bills and invoices, and reconcile expenses to the general ledger.
Make copies of all checks, complete deposit slips and make bank deposits.
Posting various recoveries on monthly basis
Raising Debit notes for JV & Overseas entities
Maintains records of invoices, debits, and credits.
Creating and maintaining Accounts receivable provision
Ensuring to have a good relation and customer interaction skills

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge

Degree in Accounting/Professional accounting qualification preferred

Minimum Experience

6 to 8 years of similar experience, with a good knowledge of ERP/SAP systems.

Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate and interact well
Good accounting knowledge, Analytical, process oriented, well organised
Should possess a good knowledge of excel and have prior experience in working with large databases and strict time schedule.

Willing work flexible working hours, enthusiastic , team player, willing to accept new challenges and creative.

Job Hours

This role will work 5 days a week Sunday through Thursday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. However due to the nature of the role, there might be occassions where one might need to put in extra hours to close a deadline.
